Skirt? h&m, old
Sweater? h&m, old
Flats? Cole Haan, consignment
Purse? vintage Roots, thrifted
Ring? gifted

This skirt may be my favourite item from h&m. It's actually really good quality with the softest silk/cotton blend and plenty of fabric. And it was on super sale, just how I roll. I did a lazy man's re-touching job on the skirt because it's a little wrinkled and one of the best parts of the skirt are the sharp pleats. It would have been wiser to iron it beforehand instead of using Picassa afterwards and I did make an honest effort but I was met with this...

Kyle is just so cute I couldn't kick him off the ironing board. He certainly deserves to be kicked off because he doesn't love me as much as I love him. I love him so much, but he just tolerates me and is instead, ridiculously affectionate with Matt. If I am eating dairy products he is all up in my grill, whoring himself out for the milk left over after my cereal is done but other than that, he always chooses Matt. You know the Whiskas commercial? That's Matt and Kyle... going on picnics together while I stay at home with a broken heart. But, instead of kicking him off, I let him sleep and I tried to iron my skirt around him. Which is really as useless as it sounds and so I went out in a creased skirt...

And apparently I can't limit myself when it comes to pictures of my cats. I took this shot without zooming in. Kyle takes his sleep very seriously and didn't mind the camera in his face. Maybe he was tired... I think he only got 21 hours of sleep the day before. Poor guy...

Hahahah, that's so funny about Kyle. My SIL's cat is such a grumpy little thing but she's finally letting me pet her.

That skirt is tooo perfect on you!

That first picture of Kyle is priceless. Bailey also takes her sleep very seriously -- except early in the morning when she thinks I should get up at 6am to let her out even on the weekend.

I love those Cole Haan flats!

your cat picture is priceless and hilarious, as opposed to most people's cat pictures, which are extraneous.
you did nice work in picasa--that skirt looks wrinkle free to me! i'm all of the fuck-the-iron-i'll-just-photoshop-this-later mentality anyway.
oh and this outfit is ridiculously great on top of it all.

You look lovely, as usual. And Kyle is awesome, of course. I got a dog because I'm too needy to just be tolerated by my pet. But my dog loves my partner more than me, and it is not fair. All he wants to do is spoon with D on the bed while I try to lure him (the dog, not D) closer to me with a chewy beef penis (supposedly the creme de la creme of dog treatage, I swear).

OMG!! Kyle is soooo cute!

LOL! The Whiskas commercial! Aww! LOL.

Sidenote: I love you named your cat 'Kyle' - seems like such a rare cat name - cute :P

Ummmmm Kyle is Clyde's brotha from anotha motha. Like could be separated at birth. I probably shouldn't rub it in that I'm his favorite and he cuddles with me every night and follows me around the apt.. trust me, it gets old. Uuuuuuntil that he looks at me with that big kitty smile, and then my heart melts.

Ok. reel it in Merl. Your skirt is cute.

Your cat is named Kyle. You are my hero. I love it when people name their animals totally unassuming and unpretentious human names, like Jim or...Kyle. Just flat out AWESOME.

My, my, that is one fabulous skirt. I bet it's fun to twirl in, too!

Kyle is beyond adorable with his gigantor paws hanging off the ironing board.

I love how cats are like this, but it is truly also infuriating. My cat follows me all around, but never comes near my lap. My husband's lap? Well that's a different story. Any old time of day or night she will cuddle up with my husband. What the hell?

your skirt is beautiful and I love how you paired it with those shoes.
ahhh...to have the life of a cat and sleep like that!

Aw Kyle is such a cute sweetie! He looks so happy, too.

That bag is just fantastic - such great character to it. And I love that pleated skirt (with pockets!). You look lovely.

Your kitty is gorgeous. I love kitty noses.

Don't worry, I take lots of pictures of my cat too, but rarely share them because they always turn out crappy. Have you ever tried taking a good picture of a black cat? It is almost impossible!

What a cutie pie! I love cats, but they don't love me back either. They just scratch and nip at me, so now I admire them from a distance..hehe..

Funny story: my grandma's cat was quite the little bitch and acted all cute and cuddly and laid in my lap and let me pet her for about 10 mins. She was purring and snuggling and out of now took a bite into my hand. I haven't trusted a cat since.

Shall we form the Lonely Cat Mommy Club..? My cat is the same way with my husband...the only time I get a second glance from kitty is when I'm eatting cereal too. Kyle is such a cutie!!

I love that purse..

1) that ironing board cover... soooooooooooooo jealous! I don't even have a real ironing board but I just found a mini table top one at a garage sale. I should (get my mom to) make a cover with a similar pattern.
2) I did not even notice it needed ironing!
3) Cats are bitches. Honestly they are biatches. I love them to death even tho I no longer have one but they're little bitches.

I've been resisting commenting on this post, not because you don't look fab, you do, but because Kyle asleep on the ironing board and your unwillingness to shift him would only open a floodgate of awesome (to me) stories about my fur treasures. Plus I love cat pictures and I have to seriously strong-arm myself into not posting cat pictures daily. Even though they are all excellent and very, very relevant to my blog.

Also, I would mug you for that bag.

This is SUCH a great outfit! I love the structure and pleats of the skirt with the stripes of the top and the awesome leather bag.
