Dress? Keepsake (here, only xs left and similar on sale here) Clutch? Vintage, Shop Elofson (cute similar here)
Shoes? DvF Earrings? Vintage (cute and cheap vintage pair here on Etsy here)

I wore this out to celebrate our 8th anniversary. We just went out for drinks and some appetizers but I over dressed because Matt would be shocked if I didn't.
I'm digging the contrast of the white lace versus the black tassels. I found the lace dress at UO without a tag and they gave it to me for $30, which I thought was a good deal because I could tell that the lace was quality. Looked the dress up online afterwards and it turns out that indeed, I did get a deal....
And the matchy matchy earrings and clutch? I brought the earrings to put into the shop on the same day that the clutch from Shop Elofson arrived in the mail. And they were just so perfect together that I did not want to separate what the postman had brought together...
Shop Elofson is actually run by a gal that reached out when I started my own shop because she was opening her vintage shop at the same time. Honestly, from the beginning, it has thoroughly creeped me out how similar we are with our businesses and our vintage. I just did a quick scan of her Etsy and we have quite a few exact items in the shop, including  this purse that is hanging in the shop and this one's sister that is hanging in my closet. It's nice to connect with people who are on a similar journey... They are the ones who understand how often I have to explain the difference bwteen a vintage store and not a thrift store...;)

Pants? Vintage Pierre Cardin Top? Thrifted Shoes? Jeffrey Campbell Woodies (old, search Ebay?)
Snake cuff? Vintage via Etsy (similar Free People here) Bag? Vintage (similar on Etsy)

These vintage Pierre Cardin pants have been in my shop since the day it opened. I'm not shocked, they come in a set with a head scarf and a quilted jacket and as a suit, the whole thing is a little intimidating. I do love to separate a set to give it new life but I was a bit hesitant to do that with the designer tag. Also, the pleating and quilting in the same suit is pretty clever and I can respect the workmanship enough to keep them together.
And so they hung on the rack for months while the high waisted denim shorts flew out the door (seriously, the key to making the rent are denim shorts... a lesson learned in vintage life, more on that in a later post...). I was about to pack the suit up for a re-merchandise in the future sometime and then... I tried on the pants.

Predictably, I fell in love and I wore them the very next day.
No one is surprised right? I guess I just got myself a new suit.

Dress? Vintage (exact one on Etsy here but mine had been chopped already when I got it) Shoes? DvF
Big cuff? c/o Unikati (hereBelt? Vintage (it's falling apart but I will wear it until it falls off...)

This dress was the best find out of a pretty dismal vintage appointment a few months ago. But, on the bright side, I got this dress out of the whole ordeal and after a 3 day soak and some work on the hacked hem, she's a beaut to wear.
I wore it out last weekend for a perfect summer night out with some friends.
I'm a little confused on my feelings towards this summer. It has been a little cooler than usual this year and secretly (... well, not anymore) I like it because it's really great weather to landscape in and I have only had to turn on the AC twice at the shop. I also have some great coats and boots going in the shop for the upcoming season... But as much as I am pumped to merchandise for fall and to Instagram the ever loving crap out of autumn leaves, this dress reminds me of all that is great about summer nights...

Dress? Vintage costume Purse? c/o Jess Rizzuti  Jeans? old Zara Shoes? Nine West, thrifted

I could wear this everyday... if I didn't have stupid amounts of other fun clothes that would feel neglected. The dress is a vintage dance costume; the pin tucks in the bodice and fullness of the skirt made my day and pairing the dress with some worn out jeans just felt right...
I wore this out for dinner with Julie (also, her pregnancy announcement was kinda the best...). For old times sakes, we got outfit pics beforehand, struggling a bit with camera issues (iPhone pictures to the rescue...) but we got it done so we could carry on to get some Korean food.
When Julie and I first started hanging out after meeting on the world wide web, we would meet more often for outfit pictures and dinner or drinks, but now I feel we are much more casual about hanging out. It's kinda nice when friendships move from being planned out beforehand to last minute invites and 'don't judge my house for it's mess but you should come by for a drink now'. Sometimes our hangouts even involve track pants...
And I am not saying that is a bad thing. There's room for both ballerina dresses and track pants in my life...
