Blog Fail

Apparently pictures are worth a thousand words... and as there are no pictures today, I hope words will suffice. Because it is a little hard to post pictures when your laptop (a young thing, only two months old) decides to stop working. We took it in, assuming the fix would be under warranty but the soft drive is not warrantied so we must pay $200 to 'restore' our new laptop. We must be suckers... somewhere, someone is laughing at us and dancing in credit card receipts. The issue with the soft drive turned out to be more complex than originally thought and so we lost all the last month's pictures off the computer. Hence, no coy glances and outfit pictures today (though they were good...:( )... But best of all, we got $90 off because they lost our data... I don't think that's a deal. I paid someone to to take away my new laptop for 4 days...
Don't worry, my week can only get better...or not. Besides losing the offer on the house and the laptop for the week, I also lost about 10 lbs.. Subway and I got into a fight and Subway won. I got a vicious case of food poisoning that resulted in rapid weight loss and an ambulance ride to the hospital. I am soooo embarrassed that we had to call the ambulance but I literally couldn't move anymore. I'm feeling better now, my appetite is still weak but at least I'm full of disgusting stories to amuse my friends with (why is it that our grossest moments turn into the best tales later?). The food poisoning incident left me with a renewed appreciation for my husband's patience and a new apprehension for deli meats.
I think I'm just going to cut my losses and label this week as an epic blog fail. I will be back next week with a working computer, an appetite, some energy and a better attitude...

10 pounds eh? YIKES. Same thing happend to my cousin Rob with Subway, which is why I only get the grilled chicken (cause they microwave it? That's not better)... ALso, next time the computer goes on the caputz let us know, Paul is a comp genius and could have wiped it for you (ahem for free)...also...back up hard drives? They are your friend.

Also, apparently it's important to entertain with "after shots"... that's stupid.

Yikes!
At times I have wished for a good bout of food poisoning after gorging myself...but after learning of your saga and ambulance ride I think I changed my mind.

Feel better ~ and I hope your laptop gets well soon too!

Oh my word, woman! LOSING DATA AND GETTING FOOD POISONING?! I'm sorry for the all caps, but that is like the world's worst week times 10 for me. You are a champion among women to even come up with this post!

Oh no! What a crappity week! Hope you are feeling better... Hmm, I wonder if that is how Jared keeps all the weight off for his Subway commercials??

Sorry to hear about your rough week - but you are right, things can only get better!!

And please, please, let this be your lesson learned, go buy an external drive and start backing up your stuff!
Of course it's always the new computers that fail, cosmic irony or something.

I"m so sorry to hear about your terrible week -- under those circumstances, I probably wouldn't have posted. You're a devoted blogger and I hope things get better very soon.

I echo Linda's second comment. Seriously result photos?

You've just scared me into actually using the harddrive the M lent me to back up the 100,000 photos on my computer.. from this year. Now, finding it with half of my shit being moved will be interesting.

You were embarrassed to call the ambulance? My inner hypocondriac is hissing at you for not basking in the glory.

please get better. I'm selfish and I need my Yen fix.

Ok, you win. That has to be one of the down right crappiest weeks I've heard about in a while. Sorry that you had to win this prize, but at least it can only go up from here.

I love that you still have your sense of humour and that you blogged despite all this. You're a tough cookie (can people still say that??)!

So sad to hear about your run of bad luck. I hope you're feeling better soon. I can't wait until your laptop is up and running and we can see more of your beautiful pictures. I hope you're able to enjoy your weekend (or at least a little R & R)!

What a crappy week - maybe I should start eating @ Subway - could stand to loose a few. All joking aside that is terrible.

Should have called my Paul about your computer too - he is nerdy that way - and I love him to bits :-)

Oh man what a write off of a week! Ugh. In full agreeance with Linda's 2nd comment! after pics? serious? geeez.. Sorry to hear about the food poisoning. You seem to be taking the photo loss quite well.. I'd be sobbing on the floor still. That's a nice reminder I need to back my stuff up asap. Feel better soon!!
