I did a pretty good job packing this time for my trip to Holland. I am telling you this so you can shower me with praise.
For once I was realistic that I wouldn't be wearing crazy high heels and pretty vintage dresses while on vacation because I am walking and biking everywhere... So instead of packing these items and leaving them unworn and cursing myself as I lug around my heavy suitcase of uselessness, I left almost all frivolous items at home. A life changing concept really... And while I miss my more fanciful clothes (Matt, please tell them I say hi and also, give the cats a little chin scratch for me...) I am enjoying the fact that I am warm and comfortable enough to enjoy Holland thoroughly... Though I admit, my family, my friends, the warm weather and wine on weekdays helps me enjoy Holland thoroughly as well....

Love how you layered the sweater over the leather jacket! Glad you are having a great trip!!!
Two summers ago I was faced with packing for 4-weeks in Europe. I managed to get it all in one carry-on sized backpack! And I think I still looked cute most days. :)It's an art and I agree it's pretty life-changing. Packing for winter is another story though. You definitely deserve a weekday wine for that feat! Have fun in Holland! xo
You look stylish, snug and warm all rolled into one! Practicality can still be stylish and you've proved this well.

Great fun layers, and the setting for your photos is gorgeous!
I lived in Holland for a term while I was in college and these pictures make me so nostalgic. It's my favorite place that I've ever lived -- I wish I could go back! The drinking wine during the week calls to me, too...
When my brother and I went to Ireland for two weeks last summer, I packed lightly [mostly to impress him]. It worked out wonderfully! I had nice clothes for during the day, our hikes, and family visits, and then my cousins would glam me up euro style for our nights out!!
Three cheers for practical packing! I like this look--the grey/black and the red pants. Very nice!

successful packing is definitely something to be proud of...something i still haven't figured out. glad i don't have anywhere to go anytime soon. just thinking about it stresses me out!
I always pack too much cutesy stuff and not enough practical. I think I may finally be learning... Congrats on your packing victory, though. Lovely as always!

Wine on weekdays tends to do that. Enjoy!
the killer jeans!
This outfit is pretty much layering 101.
I am horrible when it comes to packing for trips. I always take way to many clothes - most of which are "just in case" items. Unfortunately this always results in additional baggage fees and the annoyance of lugging heavy bags everywhere. Each time I swear I will pack better the next time, but this has yet to happen... Thanks for the inspiration :)
And you still managed to look amazing, as per usual. In the winter, nonetheless. It's so hard to pack light when it's cold. Well done!
And till now I was so proud that I spent a summer in Europe with what I could fit in a carry-on (twice, actually.) I should've known that wasn't any grand feat. Haha, each time I somehow had to come home with an extra suitcase or two...
Your autfit does look really warm and comfortable, I'm happy for ya:) It's also very interesting for a casual wear.
Confession: Upon learning you are in another country, I immediately thought I should hit up Talize - think of all the goodies you won't be around to snag!
Loving the faux fur snood!

Yay, in my country ;)
Such a beautiful outfit, love how the way you layered your items!
And the combination of the colors red and grey is perfect.
Following you now dear :)

It is funny how we get so much more practical when we grow up. My trip to Montreal last year was the first time I packed practically, and I was impressed with the results. As I am with yours! How's that for showering with praise?! Glad you're enjoying yourself!
love this outfit so much. especially your red jeans and layering :)
