Earrings? F21 (?)

If you are ever so lucky to be invited to our house, this is what you may expect...

Wake me up midday by yelling through the mail slot and wait in the cold until I throw on a robe and stumble down the stairs to unlock the door (in my defense, I unexpectedly got called into work and was out until 4 a.m. that morning).
Give yourself the tour through the house while I get dressed.
Find yourself a seat among the stuff strewn about the house in a fit of creative house reorganization (in my defense again, I was in the midst of this creativity when I got called into work).
Pretend to listen as I agonize over crucial wallpapering decisions...
Put on your mittens and take my outfit pictures in the last moments of daylight.
Settle unto the couch and watch tv, while I chat to hot babes online.

Basically, you want to be my guest... It's a good thing I only subject my brother and his wife visiting from Holland to this kind of hospitality. As family, they are stuck with me. I would adopt you as my sisters and brothers if you would be willing to deal with my hostessing shortfalls and to give me good birthday gifts.

This is the sexxay-est wearing of pants ever! I love the deep red with the ocelot? print coat! That's a cute picture of you and the bro - you two look like you're having fun!

Love! I've been obsessed with finding a pair of red pants and of course cannot find a pair now that I actually want some.

My favorite line from Napoleon Dynamite is "Your mom goes to college" as an insult. My husband and I use it ALL the time. I was going to sign off using it but then talked myself into not in case your hot babes reference wasn't from that movie. Then you'd just wonder what I was smoking.

You might still be wondering that.

Love this! Red, yay! Why were you landscaping at 4am?

you sound like a perfectly lovely hostess :)....but really....who cares about the shortcomings of your hostess when she looks so chic? good fashion can cover a multitude of sins :).

Aww look! It's Jentine and boy Jentine! Although in Kees defence I'm pretty sure he spends less time obsessing over boots.
I like Kees' gloves though

Linda- Kees'gloves are actually his wife's...

Yes. I am willing to be subjected to your hostessing shortfalls in order to be considered a member of your family (gawd, blogging can make us sound so creepy sometimes!).

Also, I love this outfit so much. Red, animal print, sexay boots? Yes and yes.

Good story. I laughed, I cried... I think siblings are the exception to the hostessing rules if you ask me. You can ignore them and boss them around, it's really ok. Especially if they are visiting from another country... wait no... that would be HORRIBLE!!!

Ok so that poutine... it was from a place that puts pretty much anything on a poutine. A BASIC one usually just has the cheese and sauce. I decided to spice it up and had black olives, hot peppers and tomatoes on top. That resto is pretty crazy tho, u can put almost anything on a poutine but I do like my classic ones best.

Your hostessing skills sound delightful. It's the quirks and imperfections that make life so much damn fun! As for the outfit? Gorg, I love the combo of the deep red pants paired with the jacket. And then you have topped it off beautifully with the electric blue bag. It's fabulous!

I will now be prepared when I show up on your doorstep for a sleepover.

I'm coveting your jacket AND boots over here. In case you were wondering.

Oy, just the thought of getting up early after being out until 4 am hurts.

And my favorite part of your outfit: You earrings, as they are Fabulous! (With a capital F)

I honestly can't say I'm a good hostess either, I just don't see the point in being all overly friendly and giving a tour. My house isn't big enough for a tour!! Lovely outfit, the coat is gorgeous :)

That leopard coat paired with the red cords is brilliant - I love it! The boots are unexpected too for some reason! Beautiful outfit!

You know, I already have a very...delicate relationship with corduroy. Always wanted to wear it, have never been able to rock it. And now, you've gone and made it worse with those most perfect red corduroy pants!

I'm just going to tell you now so you're not surprised, but I'm going to copy this outfit. You look fabulous!

Red corderoy (why can't I spell that?) pants?! Yes! Love them with the boots, and the jacket is amazing!!

4am? That sounds ridiculous. I didn't know landscaping required those kinds of hours. And in the snow?
I'm impressed you got dressed at all after coming home from that. I'd have been curled up in the covers with hot cocoa, guests in my house or not.
Those cords are great. Be sure to wear them in Austin with Kendi. You two can strut your stuff down 6th Street, both in your show-stopping red pants.

First of all, I love that outfit!
Second of all, it's super adorable that you & your brother have the same nose-squinching smile. Super cute!

Hello there! I just ended up in your blog, after a lot of previous clicking and linking.....(don't ask me where I started). Well, after the description of your household, I have to say that if you also talk really loud and constantly eat and chain-smoke as well, then you could easily be mistaken for a greek girl (well... or the distant blonde relative of one!)But seriously - that's like my house - and during that tour, just skip the room that was supposed to become an office, but in my defence, I started blogging a month ago and it's all so frustrating... And I still can't make a decent post, because of all the wonderful clicking that ends up in people's blogs that are soooo COOL, just like yours! I'm your new fun from Greece! In fact, I'm gonna read all your previous posts right now! YES, I know I have to make a post in MY blog and I don't have a lot of free time - but in my defence... this girl rocks RED PANTS and ANIMAL PRINTS! (and low budget!!). WOW!!

Thank you for sharing these tips! I used them the last time I went shopping and walked away with some really sweet items!
