Dress? Vintage, thrifted Purse? Thrifted Bracelet? Antique market Shoes? DVF, StyleSense
You know what is a challenge? Writing a post while the Olympics are on. It's not even playing live right at this moment and no one from Canada, Korea or Holland is competing (where I live, where I was born and where I have my citizenship) and I am still glued to the television. The competitions are always exciting and the emotions just reel me in. I've already mentioned before that I am an easy cry but during the Olympics those tears are tripled. Matt will look over as I snivel on the couch and ask if someone from Canada won something... I can't even tell him who won because I got distracted by some proud parents crying in the stands and I just felt like I needed to join in. We can call it solidarity. Emotional solidarity.
I wore this on the weekend when I went out with my tall lady friend, Julie. She managed to lure me off the couch and away from my beloved Olympics. As the night out ended up involving some deep fried cheese sticks and more shenanigans, I would say it was worth leaving the couch. But only because they replay all the Olympic events...

I'm glad to hear someone else out there gets super into it, especially if there's an underdog or a good story behind the athlete!! So fun.
This is the first year that I really got into the Olympics. I was watching women's volleyball quarter finals between the U.S. and the Dominican Republic and I was totally rooting for the DR since I was there for two weeks in May. :)
Great dress by the way! I can't believe that is vintage, it looks pretty modern.

The parents of the athletes get me every time! The tears, the fist pumps of support, the occasional mouthed swear word...it all makes me cry like a baby.
But sport aside, you look awesome in this dress!

the other night i probably teared up about 20 times during the olympics AND I ALREADY KNEW THE RESULTS. gahhhhhh. i really shoulda been a legit athlete. and you are hot in this dress. even though i frequently cheer against all three of your countries. sorry. but you're hot!!!!!

OH my gosh, I have also totally shed a few Olympic tears! haha. Embarrassing but true.
You look absolutely breathtaking in these shots by the way - beauty!
Just looking awesome with black dress...love that dress!
Emotional solidarity - I like it! I cry when the athletes hug their parents/wife/husband/children/fellow athletes... every. single. time.
These photos are beautiful and you look amazing in that dress, Jentine!
You look just lovely! Perfect for a summer evening out on the town!

Eeee, I love that dress on you!
I too can usually be found pealed to the tv screen watching crying parents and pissed off Canadian soccer players. Love the photos by Julie!
I am the same way about the Olympics and the crying! I try to hide it from my husband, but I'm sure he know what I'm doing with all the sniffling! Glad to know I'm not alone! Love the dress!
Gorgeous dress! Love it and Ive told you everytime you were them that Im in love with your heels!!
Very pretty! I cried watching the South African marathon who was competing with everyone else and came in second or something and he had plastic legs and feet. He was born with no feet! It was unreal.
The Olympics are definitely addictive!

That dress is so gorgeous. Simple, but the lines are perfection.
And I totally hear you with the Olympics, my blog has truly suffered since it started. I could just watch an entire show of the parents in the stands, they constantly cause me to laugh, cry, and cry while laughing!
