A Sweater and a Silk Scarf

Sweater? Thrifted Shorts? Siwy, Last Call Sandals? Asos (here, buy them small, the leather stretches)
 Scarf? Thrifted Purse? Tignanello, thrifted

When I thrifted this sweater, it was my intention to keep it ladylike with a full skirt and some pretty pumps. Instead, I went in the opposite direction and wore it with Britney Spears' cast off (and cut-off) shorts from 2003 and some  sloppy hair. Thankfully, the silk scarf tied around my hair keeps things classy.. or at least that is what I am telling myself. If you tell yourself something enough, it becomes true. That's why I have never stopped having daily affirmations that I will still one day be an Olympic gymnast. Age is but a number and besides... I did three pretty solid cartwheels last week...

I love sweaters & shorts. There was a time when I would have never thought to do that.

Super cute sandals too. I'm gonna have to check those out! :)

You look so cute! I'm always tempted to try the scarf as a headband but I always feel like I'll look like a crazy. :)

Ah, gymnastics for you, badminton for me.

I'm under this illusion that because I was top of the class in school, I'll be top of the Olympics.

Nah.

I adore cable knit - this sweater rocks!

For some reason, I feel like because I can stand upside down on jungle gym rings that I am a natural gymnast. Totally not true.

Scarves are class. Always. I see women on my buss in torn up velour sweats and a way too small t-shirt. If they have on a head scarf, I think, "Ok. Effort made. Class accomplished." It may be an illusion, but life is all about perception, right?

Silk scarves have become my new favorite thing recently, my thrift store has been very good to me. Your outfit looks cute and comfortable. Win!

I love your sandals. When you order from Asos do you face large custom fees? I have my eye on a few things but I'm a little reluctant to order. Thanks!

One of the things that I like about this outfit is that it is easy. I think it looks nice. My favorite part is the earrings. I think they are elegant and pretty. You could wear them in a variety of ways.

I love the pairing of a sweater with shorts, and the scarf is a perfect finishing touch1

How in the world is it cool enough to wear a sweater where you are?! You look great though. I'm just not ready for summer to be over!

MzB- My order from Asos was about $75 and I didn't get charged for shipping or brokerage/customs fees. Apparently the brokerage fees are hit or miss... Don't know why I didn't pay for this package and why I got charged $46!!!!! for customs on a pair of sunglasses...:(
I think if the order is under 40 or 50 bucks it is free though... Ha, this doesn't seem helpful. All the best avoiding the fees;)
Christen- not cool enough. I wore this sweater after 7:30. We had to do an airport pickup at 1 am, so I knew I needed the sweater...
