How to Spend a Long Weekend

weekend5weekend3weekend4weekend6

Skirt? Alfred Sung, thrifted Top? Black Rainn, Winners Shoes? Jeffrey Campbell, StyleSense Clutch? Thrifted Vintage hairpiece? Garage sale

If Sex and The City and Vogue are to be believed, Americans spend their long weekends in the Hampton's.
I guess we do it differently in Canada. Matt spent the weekend planning his escape from the life of a blogger husband and started to dig his way to China.

weekend1

I spent my weekend strawberry picking with a hangover (yes, that was punishment in and of itself), painting my nails some fun colours, being in labour and delivery when one of my childhood friends had a baby girl and ironing this shirt. I know... mind blasting, right? I actually ironed.
In all seriousness, it was a privilege to be asked to be there for a birth. And it was really, truly awesome to see.
I only cried twice.

I seriously laughed my butt off at the picture of your husband digging to "China"!! My husband would probably do the same thing, if I gave him that idea;)

And what a lovely story about being there for your friend's delivery. It must've been the coolest thing.

LOL my boyfriend can probably relate to your husband fairly well. I love this outfit. The skirt is perfect and the shoes are fabulous! Asking to be part of the birth of a child is really a blessing. I've never been the one not having the baby in the room, but even watching my daughter's birth (from the shoulders only while my sister delivered) was amazing.

Oh, no big deal - delivery! I need to see proof of said delivery. I don't mean the infant, but perhaps the outfit you had on under your scrubs?

From Suns and Moons- I actually wore this shirt and then some shorts because I got the call as I was half dressed for the day... I have pictures but I don't know if my friends want their baby on the www...

always stylish, taking a clutch to the beach!! LOVE it!!!

yeah, long weekends are the best. Might be cheaper to fly to Ontario and then get in that trench and head to china -- rather than direct flight.. save me a path down that tunnel please!! LOL

Super cute! I painted my nails the same way this weekend...my husband said "uh..they're mismatched." (duh!) I tried explaining the trend to him, but he probably just thinks I'm crazy.
