I left sunny and pleasant Ontario and made it safely to windy and rainy Texas. There is a lot wrong with that weather confusion. But my disappointment in the weather has been soothed by hugs from Kendi, margarita's with Bryan and overwhelming love from their sweet baby Carlos. I do feel bad though because Carlos is clearly favouring me over them. I woke up this morning to find Carlos waiting at my bedroom door. I hope our friendship can survive a traitorous dog...

You know what they say about Texas (or maybe you don't since you're Canadian): Texas, it's like a whole other country.

This is so great! I love that jacket-it has so much interest and character. I always adore the fun details you put in your ensembles!
What the what is with that weather??? Cuh-razy!!! In other news, this dress is fantastic! I love the shear and the polka dots and I love how you toned down the girliness with this tough jacket. I'm sure the dog owners will forgive you for stealing their dog. Eventually . . . :-)
LOVE this outfit, Yen!
It rain/ snowed today so ur ok.
Please, please tell me you brought this jacket because you are going to put it in the swap and I am going to take it. No? Shoot. I think I will be sneaking into the Skeen household to steal it. See you tomorrow!
Simply adore this dress. The length is so uncommon but very flattering. Love the mixture of textures that the jacket brings.

You and Kendi together! I love it! You guys are my favorites, so I love thinking of you together. It's like that time a week ago when I saw a picture of Cousin Matthew and Branson from DA together and my heart nearly exploded with joy and cute overload. Kinda like that.
Goodness I found your blog via Greetings from Texas. Love your thrifting!!!

I love your outfit and the color of your dress. It suits you very well.
Hey there, author! I just read your article on West Village pet shops banning "drunken puppy buying," and I have to say, I'm absolutely astounded. I had no idea that was even a thing, but it definitely sounds like something that would happen in a place like New York City. The fact that people are making such impulsive decisions while under the influence is both alarming and kind of hilarious.
On a more serious note, though, I think it's fantastic that these pet shops are taking action to prevent this kind of behavior. It's not fair to the puppies to be bought on a whim by someone who may not be able to properly care for them. Pets require a lot of time, money, and attention, and it's not something that should be taken lightly. By banning drunken puppy buying, these shops are not only looking out for the welfare of the animals, but also helping to prevent people from making potentially regrettable decisions.
Overall, I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed reading your article, and it definitely gave me something to think about. Thanks for shedding light on this issue and bringing attention to the importance of responsible pet ownership.
