This Week I Thrifted
What? Leather, two-tone shoulder bag.
Where? Talize
How much? $12.99
Why? I've been to the thrift store 3 times in the last 2+ months. That is quite reserved for me. I've been making an honest effort since just before I wrote my shopaholics post to curb the shopping (sidenote: I should write an update post on that, eh?). However, each of the 3 times that I have been in the thrift store, I have been very successful. This success leads me to have major discussions with myself as I debate whether I 'need' all the things I find. The answer is always yes. Yes, I need that olive jumpsuit because it is $5 and awesome. Yes, I need that giant gold over coat thingy (technical terms are failing me) because it is shiny and fabulous. My ability to say no at the mall has increased manifold since that post, but obviously, I am still weak in the thrift store.
All that to say that I bought this leather purse at the thrift store and I am quite pleased with the find. Some of my day-to-day purses are getting a little ratty and this one will fit nicely into the daily rotation. It's big enough to fit my rather bulky wallet, plus a handful of necessary lipgloss and snacks and keys and... you know, other purse junk. It's the kind of heavy leather that will only look better with age. And best of all, because of the two-tone, it will go with both black or brown leather boots! The options are blowing my mind... I need to sit down.

Great find! I am impressed with your thrifting restraint. I feel like I need to go to the store at least once a week.

I'm visiting Toronto and when driving to Niagara yesterday we drove through Hamilton and I told my husband that a blogger I follow lives there and said we should find a thrift store there because you always dress so cute! We didn't stop, but I did however go to Talize today in Missasauga! Cute bag!!!
1) sell your goodies on Etsy or eBay - making money can justify the shopping. from just a fraction of your more valuable items could cover the costs of your entire wardrobe.
2) donate your goodies to less fortunate women - those in shelters, unemployed or disabled. giving balances the getting.
3) re-frame your shopping as an investment in your business - the fashion blog.
I firmly believe that one cannot have too many purses. Besides, this one looks awesome with the decor. Love your finds!
Of course you need all those things! Are you kidding? This bag is gorgeous. And I too want a gold overcoat thingie...
Nice! I really want a two-toned bag too, it's very dooney and bourke vintage. Talize is opening up like crazy here in the GTA now so it's getting more expensive and picked over :(

I haven't been to a thrift store in over a month and it's killing me! I'm not trying to stay away, I just haven't had time and it's not at the top of my priority list right now... but I MISS it! Sooooon, I'll have time!
Trollbeads NYC is the only one out of these dealers I have dealt with that take actual credit cards (not Paypal) and has you e-mail or call them this required information directly to them. An increasing number of Western countries have growing exposure to China - companies such as McDonalds and Yum Brands (Pizza Hut) have all opened many restaurants in China. with Application and Approval-
as for me, i had started to put on a suit but only made it half-way. Your gold coins will be delivered to you and it is on your own possession. It is high in certain types of proteins, and

I also live in Hamilton and work near Talize. It takes a lot of restraint not to go in every workday. On the other hand, I am noticing a lot of their prices going up. I popped in today, hoping to get a pair of black pants for cheap since I'm losing weight and between sizes. The cheapest in my size were $9.99 and not much to look at. The ones I did like were between $14.99 and $19.99. I can get pants cheaper at Walmart. I left without buying anything.
