So... about the scarf swap. I know I said that it might be fun to swap with me because I intend to send sweet love ramblings along with the scarf but maybe if you knew that Jessie sent me a beautiful vintage DvF scarf, then perhaps you might wish that you swapped with her instead. I don't blame you, when I opened the package from her and saw this silk scarf, I immediately saw that she was trying to buy my love. If she had thrown in another cat for me, it might have worked.
Jessie sent me the prettiest scarf with a big 'Diane' signature across the whole thing. The only problem with it is that all the pink in my closet is more of a hot pink and that pink settles somewhere on the colour wheel between the softer pink and red of the scarf. So then when I paired the scarf with a pink item of clothing, everything looks like it was just a bit 'off'. Are you following what I am trying to say or are you making that face I make when Merl tries to explain some html code to me?
All that to say that I decided to keep the outfit neutral and let the scarf be the focal point. And while I couldn't find a dress to match the scarf perfectly, I did find a wall. No big deal.

I personally think the scarf adds just the right touch to a chic neutral outfit. This look is kind of an oxymoron of "fancy casual" which I wish I saw more of in my everyday life. So glad you're rocking heels and not flip flops!

By the by, my bf is in IT as well. Once he starts trying to explain something that happened at work to me, I start glazing over and he starts sounding like Charlie Brown's teacher and his face starts looking like Vin Diesel's (hey, if I can't "get" what he's trying to tell me, I might as well look at something pretty ;-) )
The scarf is so beautiful! Love the "tough" outfit with the pink wall to soften it a little, shorts and heeled sandals are the best for the season!

I thought your head was going to explode while using my iPad. My silly little techno noob! These heels look veeery similar to the pair of mine that "melted" and were abandoned under a bench in a dive bar in NYC.. except yours aren't shit. I've decided I'm going to have legs like you at some point this summer. If it means some radical sort of highly illegal leg transplant operation done in the middle of the night, so be it. Kris O- Can't find the exact shoes online, probably because they are older stock, hence they were at Winners?... and if I may be 100% honest, I love the way they look but I am not sold on the quality... I bought them in a moment of wallowing in self pity.
