Jacket? Ralph Lauren, thrifted Silk Shirt? Thrifted Crochet top? Thrifted Pants? Marc Aurel , Winners Shoes? Dumond Purse? Tignanello, thrifted Ring? Gift from my parents Booty picture? c/o my kindness
Today you will learn how deep my landscape nerdiness runs. I can hardly focus on writing a post because every time I look at the pictures above, those weeds along the bottom of the hedge just kill me. Make. them. go. away.
People always apologize for their gardens when they have me over; assuming I am judging the weeds between the flagstones, the unpruned shrubs and the flowers that need deadheading. 'No, no' I say 'I am not judging' and it's mostly true. I judge not your gardening if you judge not the fact that my cat threw up on the stairs... again. But while I try not to judge, I can't help but notice all those things. That's part of my job.
But you know what's not part of my job? That particular hedge and its accompanying weeds. Step away from the weeds Jentine! There is a big, beautiful world out there, just waiting to be discovered!

But just look at the nice little bursts of green those weeds give these photos! Also, that pink silk shirt makes me a little bit jealous! Gorg!
I love that pink shirt! So pretty. :) And I will ignore the cat puke, if you ignore the dog puke. What is it with these animals?
Ha! I spent the weekend gardening (I love my garden) and I must admit, my eye did wander to those green patches in the photos. Isn't it crazy how the weeds have gone nuts in the last week or two? I spent 2 hours pulling up maple keys in my (mini) urban back yard, only to come back the next day and find zillions more!
The crochet and check look sensational together!
Beautiful look! I love the elbow patches and the green paired with the pretty crochet and pink.
I have a super similar jacket - though mine isn't Ralph Lauren! This is my one:

Don't you just adore elbow pads!

Those shoes are amazing!!
Ooooo, that ring is gorgeous!
LOVE the vest over the bright shirt ... I recently started reading your blog (thanks to Kendi), and have been really inspired by your style and outfits!
This post also makes me realize I need to do some weeding when I get home tonight ... :)
Loving that RL plaid jacket.
A Girl's Next Best Friend
I am no gardener by any sense of the word so I would be intimidated at having someone in the profession over....as much as you don't look or judge...it would be difficult no?
Loving the shoes today.
Thanks for your comment! I understand not wanting to show the front garden - I'm forever cropping distinguishing features from my photos - but I look forward to hopefully seeing some of your work!
Love how the coral top pops against the blazer - it's a great transition look for spring or fall.

I absolutely love the way you styled this crochet shirt! I've seen these be all the rage lately, but haven't seen them styled cutely until I saw this.
I have many a worse OCD than just obsessing over weeds.
Oh my goodness! I LOVE that crochet over the coral-y blouse. And the square-toe heels? You can't find that anymore! Love the whole look
Killer layers, girl. Just...killer.
Love the ring...any hints as to where it came from??
Love this outfit! That jacket is so cute & that crochet top is so cute too, reminds me of one in Tory Burch's new spring line = adorable!
