Stay Fabulous Friday

I forgot to get dressed this week... OK, I am sure that's not true, I must have made it out of the house appropriately covered, as I didn't get any 'Being Nekkid in Public Tickets' (anyone ever had one and knows the actual name for this offense?) but I don't remember really caring this week. That's weird, usually getting dressed takes precedence over anything else in this house... Yesterday I actually put some effort in. I would have been content to wear something non-descript but Erin decided that yesterday was Stay Fabulous or Get Slapped Friday and I wanted to respect her command. In retaliation for all those who got pinched on St. Patty's, she created this day. I didn't feel like getting slapped so I. got. dressed.
I was running late to meet some friends (as usual, except for to work, then I am very punctual) and I couldn't find anything to wear so I grabbed this BCBG skirt I thrifted. I was totally ready to dismiss this skirt a while back...how stupid would that have been? This whole outfit was as comfortable as wearing a track suit. And the skirt is really versatile, it holds whatever length you put it at. In a few short seconds I can go from ...

...getting a job to...

... getting a man.
I kid... Matt likes me for my brain, for the 3 (!) homemade and healthy dinners I made this week and for the fact that I say inappropriate things at the wrong time. He also loves taking my outfit pictures at midnight, downtown, with flash and with people driving by... Yeah, not the wisest choice... I only had 7 pictures to choose from. Oh well... how cool does the vegetation in the background look?

I love the outfit. I am so jealous of people who can pull off tights. I just can't seem to do it!

I believe it would be either public nudity or indecent exposure. And I came really close to getting one in college. But really who hasn't?

Also, you look amazing!

And third, I so wanted the caption of your pictures to read "from getting a job t0 ... giving a job." I'm sorry -- was that inappropriate??

Haha Kyla! That's pretty much exactly what I thought too.

Love the skirt. Stripes are such a good staple.

That's a great skirt - it's practically a neutral!

Fantastic outfit, stunning skirt, mega-cool vegetation.

I'm going with indecent exposure (and taking 'precedence', not presidency).

Kyla's comment is hilarious! 'Who hasn't?' Indeed.

Ha Kyla,
too funny! It's not that short is it? Please let my mom not read the comment section...
And... I'm going to need to hear your indecent exposure story...

I fixed it, thanks... do you want to be my editor? I always find mistakes the next day but on the day I write I'm always too tired to see mistakes... not like I would have caught that one, I had an inkling it was wrong but spellcheck gave me no better options...:(

Proof that you can be comfy and still look sexy as hell! You look gorgeous in these -- and I'm glad to know you're late sometimes. Makes me feel more human. I'm ALWAYS late, even though I try so hard not to be! But anyway, it's kind of worth being tardy when you look this good....

skirts like that are extremely versatile. they bring a new meaning to the office-to-bar ensembles. plus they feel like pajamas. i bet you could make it super high waisted, too.
anyway, you look terrific--no slaps for you for sure!

I'm with Kyla. I think it would be indecent exposure. Where I live, there is a topless law, so you could go shirtless and braless without a ticket, but your bum had better be covered!

I love the skirt and the pictures he was able to take are really cool! I should make M. take more pictures at midnight with the flash.
