Dress? Joe Fresh Shoes? Cole Haan, consigned Sunglasses? Jessica Simpson
Just a few hours before these outfit photos were taken, I posted a picture on Instagram (myeditblog) of the face I saw in the rear view mirror as I drove home from work.
Lovely. That is a classic landscape face; though usually I have more of a dirt mustache as well...
This post is evidence of the wonders that a shower, a cute dress and a generous dollop of make-up can achieve. I didn't even have to wash my hair. I just back-combed it and hair sprayed it into place. Between the remnants of bug spray, sunscreen and sweat (so attractive, no?), my hair holds a pretty good tease after work. The secret to my big bun has nothing to do with a sock and everything to do with dirt. Consider yourself in the know...

The striped dress is killer!
Cute dress, you look great as always! Now, what I want to know is how you keep your non-gloved fingers and nails looking so good. I remember an earlier post about sparkled nail polish pre/post work. I've been working in my gardens all week and my hands are trashed!
My top knot has nothing to do with a sock, and a lot to do with not washing my hair for approximately 2 days. I think people overestimate the importance of showers. :)
Cute dress!

Ashley- I don't know why but they seem to hold up pretty well maybe because they are used to the abuse. I also will throw up a sloppy coat of polish to cover the rough nails. Go from far but far from good?
Love the striped dress!

I love your outfit shots but that last one gave me quite the giggles as it reminded me of all my days working in horse barns and what I would end up looking like at the end of the day!

You look glowy under all that dirt! Any mascara/under eye concealer you recommend that will make it through a long day's work?
I love your dirty work face!
Too funny, Jen! Mrs. H
even with the dirt you look awesome :-)
I love that striped dress!
Love the dress! Especially combined with the red shoes. I'm definitely not quite comfortable with wearing such pops of color yet but I love the way they look when done right!

I love your outfit, but honestly, it's your awesome dirt-bun that has me captivated. Your hair looks great! Forget the sock-bun!

I think you look competely adorable in your last photo, dirt or not, you are so pretty! (And that striped dress is pretty fantastic!)
I want this dress. When is Joe fresh coming to Japan? You look great with or without dirt.
You clean up nicely :) Love that dress!
That green stripe on the bottom of your dress is such a nice touch & a cute way to "jazz up" the traditional blue & white striped dress.

dirty work face = BAD ASS
I love that single green line close to the hem of the dress. Lovely dress.
ahha I love the landscape face. I remember coming home some days after working on the farm and you think you may have gotten a nice tan, but really, it was just a layer of dirt.
Love this dress and am super jealous that you still look cute dirty!
i love that no matter what...the gold eyeliner prevails. heart you.
LOVE that joe dress so much that I almost bought it a month ago. However they didn't have my size :(
still a favourite though!

You're still beautiful even with dirt on your face! I love the dress, especially the stripe at the bottom, and those shoes are so cute! XOXO, www.NatalyasCloset.com
Dirt to Dame in 3 easy steps! You are so my girl!
Awesome awesome dress! And you're probably on to something with that hair. Instead of sock buns everyone will be wearing dirt/sweat buns soon! ;)

heh...I just taught my sisters the sock bun trick, to their great wonder. now if only I had known it while I had long too-fine hair!
You have great hair, and obviously no need to resort to such trickery!
Your hair looks so cute in your bun! Love it...so the secret is dirt ay? I might just have to try it sometime :)
You are so cute...with our without the dirt! :)
