And so it is Valentine's Day. I've mentioned it before but we don't really celebrate Valentine's Day that much... I know... Go ahead, kick me out of the blogosphere. Last night as we went to bed, Matt said he was starting to feel sick and I had this twisted thought that maybe my Valentine's Day present to him was him getting the same cold that has been plaguing me for a week and a half. That is so wrong... I am ashamed. The good news is that Matt woke up healthy this morning and I woke up still feeling crappy; it's only fair.
I was feeling pretty guilty that I even thought those thoughts until I remembered that I gave Matt the best Valentine's Day gift of all. I went to see The Vow yesterday... without him. He's very grateful about that.

Dear Jentine, you make me laugh just about every time I read your blog. Unlike some other bloggers who are full of themselves and make fish faces at the camera (which I still can't master, but feel I should) you discuss cats and clothes and your obsession for old things... and you make jokes. Just wanted to say hello & that you have a reader in Toronto who thinks you would love a day-o-thrifting at the GoodWill at Mt. Pleasant and Bloor... because that's where all the rich people around here drop off their crap. And it's awesome.

Hope you feel tops in no time!

I'm not very romantic either, but my husband seriously is. If I didn't love him so much (and know that it was coming from a genuine place) I would run screamy-giggling from his sweet gestures.

Great vest, sweater, skirt. So really. . . all of it.

I thought I was the only one who didn't celebrate Valentine's Day ... glad to know my husband and I aren't alone. :)

Love that you gave him the best gift - going to see The Vow alone! I think I'll get that for my husband too!

Either that or some bacon roses.

Oh, good. Non-Valentines Day is kind of a thing. My pink-and-hearts-loathing self thanks you for your inspiration via your romance-by-omission attitude.

God I love you! There's nothing pretentious about you...the first commenter had it right.

I am SO not into VD. blech...the day or the std. Blech to all of it.

Great outfit, as usual. :)

Haha-- my husband would like that very same gift. I've been begging him to go with me to see that since it came out. Is it good?

I totally sold out to the red and pink. I love the gold, though! When I saw your previous post in that sweater with the gingham button-up I loved it so much that I've totally consigned a similar outfit now. Can't wait to try it out!

OK, number one, please tell me those aren't bare legs? in the snow? Yikes!
Number two, I love, love, love the black and khaki and gold together - festive and classy.
Number three my V-day gift to my hubby is not making him watch Breaking Dawn with me. It is the mark of a wonderful wife to excuse your hubby from chick flicks. (Also, they just complain about them too much!) ;)
Happy V-Day!
