Holla-days!

gold9gold4gold3gold6gold1

Pants? Joe Fresh (here but not available online) Shoes? Ash, Winners Shirt? Winners Sweater? Gap, thrifted Clutch and necklaces? Thrifted

It's the holiday season. Matt says it begins in Canada on December 1st but he's wrong. We already had a friends' holiday party this weekend and while he was away at work, I also hung up a sparkly wreath on the front door. Wreath Logic states that once the wreath is hung, the festive season is here...
The only downfall of this time of year is that people assume that my gold pants are holiday pants, when really, they are just awesome and I wear them all. the. time. Besides, holiday pants are actually your Juicy track pants from 1999, the ones with the stretched out elastic... with lots of room for turkey, mashed potatoes and candy cane ice cream on top of pumpkin pie (stop judging...). All the holiday lookbooks showing up in your inbox are a big lie... unless they feature trackpants...

These pants freaking rock.
In my mind, holiday season starts Nov 25th, one month before. But I think the stores and radio stations could argue with my theory :)

You call them holiday pants, I call them cheese pants. Semantics!

You are killing it in those pants! Every day is a holiday in gold pants! I love the almost conservative contrast of the buttoned all the way up top and roomy sweater.

Holiday season starts when Starbucks brings out their Christmas cups :D haha that's what my friends and I say anyways.
I love this outfit, the necklace and pants really compliment each other!

I'm completely obsessed with your pants, still, and I've been to a bunch of Joe stores and Superstores and the employees look at me like I have two heads when I beg them to tell me more about the gold skinnies! *le sigh* I swear, one day I will own them. :(

In all honesty, I've been in the holiday spirit since the day after Halloween. Whether these pants are holiday or just awesome, they are perfect for either occasion (holidays or being awesome). Love the studded boots as well!

I wore a sequined shirt to work today and everyone thought I was being "festive". I'm going with it. If it means getting away with wearing insane things to work for a month. . . yeah, OK.

My most favorite gold jeans! I must own a pair. I will make it my life's endeavor.

Damian is not letting me put up the tree yet. Normally, I'm the one saying let Thanksgiving come and go, but I desperately want Christmas to be here and to be good, particularly since last year's Christmas was so difficult. :(

Also, I can't stop staring at your shoes. I love them and they're amazing. Studs!

I've been reading your blog for a few months now and while your fashion sense and witty posts always certainly keep me coming back I have to admit that I play a little game every time you post.

It's the "guess where she took those photos" game. Most of the time I have no idea but seeing the Gage Park bandstand put a huge smile on my face today. Growing up in Hamilton I have many many memories of those blue walls and that secretive little black door.

I think I'll start a line of jersey maxidresses covered in sequins and label them "holiday wear". They hide a full stomach very well. :)

Have you seen the sparkle leggings at Joe Fresh? They have Jentine written all over them!

I spotted a wreath in a co-worker's office today and that lovely pine tree scent wafted over me. As soon as that first scent hits me, holiday is on! Love the gold pants...and your location. Your town is full of the best backdrops!

These pants are fantastic. I've been hemming and hawing about these types of jeans but the more I see you style them the more convinced I become that I should take the plunge!

Also, I'm with you as far as holiday spirit is concerned. I always tell myself I have to wait until American Thanksgiving comes but this year I can't help myself. I even cleaned my apartment last weekend in anticipation of decorating on saturday!

Love this look! You are rocking those Joe Fresh gold jeans!! I wanted some for myself have to admit but they aren't at any of the locations in Ottawa so I just have to admire from afar. You've styled them fabulously here though, have to say.
