Well Red

Jacket? A gift from my friend, Jessie Pants? Zara Shoes? Thrifted Necklace? Banana Republic Sunglasses? h&m

Matt and I spent our actual anniversary extremely jetlagged from flying into Holland. It was kind of a relief to me that both of us were grumpy, usually I carry the burden of grump alone but this time Matt was grumpy too and everyone could see that Matt is human. It was about time Matt got off his pedestal, he's afraid of heights anyways...
Speaking of heights... these pictures were taken on the balcony of our hotel room in the pretty town of Haarlem. We went there for a few days to celebrate our anniversary belatedly. I noticed we had a balcony outside of our window and I was impressed that there were chairs up there; as if a balcony 3 stories high, with a tiny railing and a even tinier spiralled fire escape is a place to enjoy a fine merlot and a croquette. Later, I realized that the chairs were there more as a typical Dutch storage solution than as a patio area...
And yet, despite the fact that we both don't like heights, we took pictures on that scary balcony. We kept it simple... no crazy posing, no high heels, no re-shoots... just my new red blazer and smackload of lipstick. I'm so romantic... 'Happy Anniversary sweet muffin husby lover! Wanna take pictures on an unsecure balcony before we go out for a nice dinner? Great!'

  28. Ok, so let's talk lipstick! These retro reds are a bona fide trend (as opposed to the ones we are told to follow).

I've been researching the best reds, and I want to know what yours is - 'cause I think it would rock on me too! You have some warm/yellow undertones yeah? So what's this lovely orange-red? Inquiring minds want to know!
