Shirt? Winners Awesome vest that I plan to wear a lot? Thrifted Jeans? Gap Sandals? Marc Fisher, Winners Purse? Winners

I spent the weekend in NYC, in the middle of the sarcastic yet loving presence of Merl and Morgan (with a pinch of Mel, Nikka and Veronika too!). If you follow either of them on Twitter, you have probably already heard and seen every moment of our weekend. I live a simpler life. I plan on going home tonight, getting some pictures printed at Walmart and starting my 'New York City, Weekend of Extravagance 2011' scrapbook. I suspect it will be done by the end of June (I want to get those stamps and corners just. right.), in time to be sent around to all the awesomest bloggers so they can read it on summer vacation.

Ok, I admit it. Technology is not my friend and I was cruelly reminded of the fact as I tried to keep up with Merly and Morgy and their iphones, ipads and iamtechnologicallyadvanced. Sometimes they made fun of me. I cried into my slide phone and sent Matt text messages that cost me $0.75 each. I have never been interested in technology; it has always baffled me and frustrated me. Though I think this weekend was the breaking point, if I want world domination, I should, at the very least, learn how to tweet a picture. At home with my friends, I am the crazy one for even having a twitter account but among my blogger friends I might as well have a carrier pigeon. Does anyone else have this? Do you want to group hug?

And though I was technologically useless to both Merl and Morgan this weekend, I know that we made a formed a friendship that goes deeper than twitter... gchat is deeper than twitter, right?

Yup... I like these kids...

from one troglodyte to another, i half-wish we could still communicate by carrier pigeon.

I am right there with you girl! I don't twitter (tweet?) and only just recently started sending text messages, but even that happens very rarely indeed. :) And blogging ... totally a baby blogger. Eh, who wants to keep up with the Joneses anyway? :)
You look fab and I'm glad you had a fun weekend!

The little landscaper in you needed to be photog-ed by the pretty pink tulips and I like it.

I can't wait to see the other 7 recap posts that you have coming up. They're going to be epic. Golden Sun.

MISS YOU. CANADA TRIP SOON.

Oh, this looks like so much fun. I try real hard...but I am hopeless with technology myself.

I have no idea how to post a picture on twitter either... pants hey?

Group hug indeed! My bf is in IT and every time he starts talking to me about cool tech stuff, I glaze over similarly to what I imagine him doing when I talk about clothes. Ha ha! I have never been on Twitter, either. I don't even know how it works. Some would describe me as archaic but I prefer vintage. ;-) GROUP HUG!

Oh, and you look amazing as always. Cheers!

stop being so cool please. I have to remind you that if you had a data phone, you woudlnt even be able to tweet on it from the US because your data would be ridiculously expensive from roaming charges. Or since I'm speaking to you... if you have an apple and you tweet from it, you will have to pay with lots of oranges accross the border. makes sense?
HAHA i kid cuz i love. Can i now start chat attacking you on gchat now since it means we're bffs?
im jealous of your weekend. i want more pics. can you tweet a picture from your computer? cuz i dont know how to do that. im a little bit confused when it comes to twitter. dont get me started on FFs... that confused me for weeks.

Yay New York! Glad you had a fun weekend here. I too feel like my penchant for technology pretty much stops at my blog (and I don't know how to tweet a picture either!!).

Technology and I only half get along, and even this it's like some hooker bitch slapping her john. (For clarity, I'm not the hooker, but I also don't pay for sex).

So glad you and Merl and Morgan had fun. I envy Morgan, having been in the presence of you other two fab ladies. I enjoyed it as much as a hooker enjoys bitch slapping her john. That's a lot, for the record.

It's okay to not be up on technology because the second you get a facebook it's outdated by twitter, then you succumb to twitter and it's outdated by foursquare.

The flowers are gorgeous and so is your outfit.

Ah, my favourite shirt - it never gets old . .

I love how you are so happy and smiley in these shots - it's a cultural Dutch-tulip thing, am I right?

I can't figure out twitter myself, and I have a blog in name only - I'm quite happy with facebook and pinterest, and that's plenty.

I'm pretty sure I'm not a virgin virtual group hugger here and that we have bonded over other technological failings, but I just want you to know I'm a member of the old school cell phone/no internet fancyness club, too.

Your hair is pretty.

And I think you mean "daffodils." No I'm right.

I am technologically embarrassing...there I have confessed...there is so much I could do if I understood...But, I do understand that you look really cute and I love your pictures!!

I just got a smart phone back in November and now I know I can never go back. Twitter, facebook, all those blogs!! Plus email right at my finger tips! It's like a sickness now. Almost like a fungus that grows out of my hands. If you can go longer without a smart phone than you're a bigger woman than me:)

And you are stylin' lady!! I love those sandals!!

First, I am head. over. heels. for your vest! SUCH a great find. Gah. And also incredibly jealous of your fun blogger hangouts! Glad you ladies had a good time! And I'm pretty sure I've told you this before, but just to make you feel better again, my phone is almost 3 years old, and is the free flip phone I got from Rogers, and I lost the back so the battery is duck taped on. Yup.

Only discovered you yesterday, thanks to Sal of Already Pretty. LOVE your blog (& the Fabulous Thrifting Fashionista who writes it!) Moved away from Hamilton almost three years ago: you do well by it! However, NYC is another level -- so glad you got there, & enjoyed yourself! Your outfit rocks -- and would love to hear details on the sunglasses too!

C├ęst Chic- yay for Hamilton! I wear these sunnies constantly... They are vintage Steffi Graf (I know... pretty random) and one of my customers gave them to me. I love the results of closet clean-outs!

hahahaha I am seriously cracking up, especially about the crying into my slide phone and sending texts that cost $0.75 each! And I'm laughing even more because I had a slide phone until December of last year! :)

As usual, you are hilarious. And it looks like you guys had a blast.

Hahaha back in good old Brandon MB I was the only one of my friends who had a Twitter account... I was the "weird tech nerd". Hah. Out in Vancouver I'm from the sticks because I only Tweet (and don't Check In, Stumble, Vlog... Woof? Is that one??)
But even if being a tech nerd is out of your future, I'm so glad you had a wonderful trip! Your photos are awesome! xx

In our defense, anyone would've laughed at you trying to use my iPad. Oh and Morgan's computer. Oh and the internet. Sheesh good thing your hot right?

I'm happy you stopped and demanded I snapped photos of you in front of the tulips.. while your assistant and proposing shots are obviously hilarious and guest star some fabulous ladies, the world would not be as bright without your full body glory. In case you were wondering, the reason the second paragraph of this comment is so much nicer than the first is due to the freshly opened can of diet pepsi slowly disappearing into my mouth. You understand of course.

btw.. mo is still peeing on the stairs. don't judge me when I put a diaper on her.
