Cargos? Mexx, thrifted
Lace shirt? Mantles, thrifted
Boots? Charles David, thrifted
Purse? thrifted
Bangle? thrifted
Belt? Michael Kors, Winners

This outfit was nearly 100% thrifted. People are so generous that they donated these leather boots, lacey top (granted it was ugly until I trimmed some excessive lacey business away from the neck) and the new cargos to thrift stores and then left them for me to find. In the 1+ year that I have been blogging, my closet has gone from being 21% thrifted to 83% (I did some spread sheets...) thrifted. The closet has since also been filled to 131% capacity...
The only thing that ruined my perfectly thrifted outfit was the belt. I could have gone without a belt but these pants give me a little muffin top so I wore a belt. T he belt sticks out further than the little extra baked goods on my hips and so camouflages it. I don't know if that trick is in any 'How to get Dressed' books... if it isn't, you may go ahead and use that information, as long as you always footnote it back to me. I prefer APA format...

  9. This outfit rocks! I love that it's almost 100% thrifted! I do "levels of thrift" for my outfits on my blog; it's hard to get to 100% sometimes.

  10. How in the world do you walk into a thrift store and find such amazing goods. I need a step by step guide detailed by yourself with photos so I don't get distracted by butterflies or passing cars. I also prefer APA format.

I've met so many people from the netherlands while in Scotland.. I'm beginning to think there are none left in Holland. You need to teach me some dutch too. We can start with how to say, 'where's the cheese?' and maybe 'hello'.
